System Requirements:
IBM Compatible Computer
DOS 3.3 Or Higher
3 1/2 or 5 1/4 Inch Diskette Drive(s)
Overview:
This Program Formats A Diskette In A 3 1/2 or 5 1/4 Inch
Diskette Drive. It Recognizes Your Diskette Drive Types And Locations,
Then Shows Them On The Screen. There Are Six Formatting Choices
Numbered From 0 To 5. Each Format Will Be Described Later. It Will
Know What Drive To Use For Each Of The Six Formats And Show That
Drive On The Screen. You Simply Select The Diskette Type, Insert
The Diskette In The Drive And Let It Do It's Thing. As It Formats
The Diskette It Will Show You The Percent Completed. If Registered
It Will Also Give You A Option To Add System Files And A Volume
Label To The Diskette.

Selection #0: 3 1/2 Inch High Density Diskette, 1.44MB Capacity.
Selection #1: 5 1/4 Inch High Density Diskette, 1.2MB Capacity.
Selection #2: 3 1/2 Inch Double Density Diskette, 720KB Capacity In A High
Density 1.44MB Drive.
Selection #3: 5 1/4 Inch Double Density Diskette, 360KB Capacity In A High
Density 1.2MB Drive.
Selection #4: 3 1/2 Inch Double Density Diskette, 720KB Capacity In A Low
Density 720KB Drive.
Selection #5: 5 1/4 Inch Double Density Diskette, 360KB Capacity In A Low
Density 360KB Drive.

When You First Enter The Program, The Following Message Will
Appear:
Enter Diskette Type ( 0-5 ) - ESC or ENTER To End
At This Point Either Pressing The 'ENTER' or 'ESC' Key Will
Terminate The Program.

Enter The Selection Number Of The Diskette You Want To
Format, The Following Message Will Appear:
Mount x x/x XX Diskette In Drive X: - ESC To Reselect
( x/X For Unknown )
This Could Be: Mount 3 1/2 HD Diskette In Drive A: - ESC To Reselect
Care Should Be Taken To Insure That You Insert The Correct
Diskette In The Selected Drive. The Wrong Diskette Would Produce
Unpredictable Results.
If There Is No Diskette In The Selected Drive, It Will
Issue The Message Again.
At This Point Pressing The 'ESC' Key Will Take You Back
To Selection Number.
Mount The Diskette In The Selected Drive And Press The
'ENTER' Key.
The Program Will Determine If There Are Files On The
Diskette, If There Are Files On The Diskette The Following
Message Is Displayed:
Diskette Contains Data - Continue ? - ( Y or N )
To Format The Diskette Enter ( Y or y ) else Enter ( N or n ).
After It Has Formatted The Diskette, One Of The Following
Messages Will Be Displayed:
1: 'Bad Sectors On Diskette - Format Again'
Action: Reformat The Diskette, If This Doesn't Correct The
Problem Then Use The DOS 'FORMAT' Program. The
Likelyhood Of This Happening Is Minute. The Program
Will Wait Until You Press A key.
2: 'There Were No Errors Reported On This Diskette'
Action: Normal Return Message, Diskette Is OK.
3: 'There Were Some Retries On This Diskette'
Action: This Means It Had To Try More Than Once On A Given
Track To Format It. The Diskette Should Be OK.

If You Have Registered The Program With RT Systems:
After It Has Displayed The Format Message, The Following
Message Will Appear:
Do You Want To Transfer System Files ( Y or N )
Enter ( Y or y ) To Transfer The System Files To The
Diskette or ( N,n or 'ENTER' ) To Bypass.
After It Has Displayed The System File Message, The Following
Message Will Be Displayed:
Enter Volume Label ( 11 Characters )
Press 'ENTER' To Bypass The Volume Label Or Enter The
Desired Volume Label and Press The 'ENTER' Key.
If You Have Not Registered The Program With RT Systems:
After It Has Displayed The Format Message, The Following
Message Will Appear:
Register For System Diskettes And Volume Labels
After The Diskette Format Has Been Completed, The Following
Message Will Appear:
Format Another x x/x XX Diskette In Diskette Drive X: - ESC To Reselect
( X/x's Are For Unknown Items )
Press The 'ENTER' Key To Format Another Diskette Of The Same
Type Or Press The 'ESC' Key To Reselect A Diskette Type.
